Angela L. Walker knew at the age of eight that she wanted to be an actress, writer, artist and/or math teacher. Angela had to place her creative dreams on the back burner when God blessed her with a child doctors said she could never have. Angela quickly introduced her miracle son Joshua to the world of art, which also became his love and passion. Angela’s hope to live her dream as an artist was renewed!
Now imagine the excitement of mother and son sharing their love for art and poetry and taking the steps to start their own greeting cards business ….when tragedy strikes! While home alone, Angela received a phone call that her beautiful son Joshua (20 years old) was shot and killed in a random act of violence. After the loss of Joshua, Angela was in a crisis, became reclusive; all hopes and dreams lost with her only child.
Angela’s journey of grief over the loss of her only child eventually breathed new life into her passion to create beautiful artwork, write poetry, and teach. Finally Angela rose out of the darkness and into the light to honor Joshua by going public with a beautiful painting called “The Beginning.”
Angela also wrote a poem “4 Ever Changed” which best describes her journey. Her amazing artwork is now featured on duvet covers, throw pillows, canvas bags, greeting cards, iPhone and iPad cases, calendars, quilts, and more! Angela knows she is not traveling on this new journey alone. Joshua’s spirit is helping to guide her every step of the way.
You can visit Angela’s beautiful world of art at the websites below. Her designs will simply AMAZE you. Be sure to add her sites as your go to places to purchase extremely unique gifts for you and your loved ones. It’ll feel like having your very own one-of-a kind piece of art.

Imagine bringing your beautiful child into the world and watching as he progresses normally with all milestones being met. Then somewhere between 1 ½ and 2 years of age……everything changes. Your precious child is kidnapped; not his physical body, but his brain. The doctor says it is Autism. Now what do you do? How do you prepare?
Shante Nicole and husband, Chris Superville will share the story of their beautiful son, Dylan and how learning how to get through to Dylan became their mission in life. It is truly a story of destiny, love, laughter, triumph, and the answer to a calling.
Learn how their journey led them to form the organization F.A.C.E., which gives the caregivers of all special needs children that much needed respite for several hours one Saturday each month.
How many times have you witnessed a parent who seemingly had no control over their child and think “If that was my child, I would……,” or “Why can’t they control that child?” How many times while flying or using public transportation did you throw that parent a certain look and think “Why can’t they shut that child up?” Would you believe that many people actually speak these words to the caregivers?
When it comes to Autism, it is not that simple. Neither does Autism have an obvious physical appearance that will allow the casual observer to see that the caregiver has an Autistic child.
Hopefully this episode will raise Autism awareness and increase the sensitivity levels of the general populace when witnessing what some deem as unruly children. Although this episode is about Autism, this also applies to all children with special needs and their caregivers.
Shanté and Chris will amaze you when they help explain Autism from their beautiful son Dylan’s perspective. You will be forever changed.

Are you in love with a Christian, Agnostic, or Atheist? Do you even know? Should you care? Could your mate’s ability to be faithful be linked to their religious beliefs and/or the strength of their faith?
Charlie, a confirmed Atheist shares his views that it all goes back to evolution. Men are not born to be monogamous and they are burdened
to respond to the biological call to have sex and reproduce. A biological call so powerfully intertwined within his DNA; making it impossible for most to resist.
Pastor Alfonzo Surrett shares God’s word about the problems and consequences associated with this view. He states that we are all spiritual beings regardless of our beliefs and that being unfaithful opens the gate for the enemy to enter into our spirit to begin the path of possession and destruction. He concludes that monogamy is not an issue of self-control, but more about the strength of one’s faith.

Charles Murray

Steven LaBroi
Some people are blessed at a very young age with the gift of knowing their purpose in life. Since the age of 8, Charles Murray knew he had to be a filmmaker. Unfortunately this passion was fueled from witnessing his father abuse his mother and Charles wanted to take her story to the big screen. Charles’ entire focus went to writing, spending time in the library reading books on how to write scripts, learning how others were able to advance their careers, and Charles began to follow in their footsteps. Charles began writing at the age of 16 and wrote every chance he could get.
Charles finally completed the screenplay about his mother’s life in 2003. In 2013 his debut film “Things Never Said” hit the big screen. “Things Never Said” is a story about an aspiring spoken word artist using poetry to escape the pain of a violent marriage and a troubled past.
Ten (10) long years is how long it took Charles to fulfill his dream of taking his screenplay to the big screen. It was not an easy journey. Charles Murray faced many roadblocks along the way especially when it came to raising capital. However, despite the rejections, Charles refused to let his dream die or allow people to convince him that “black dramas don’t make money.” So what did Charles do?
Charles found a lifelong friend to help make his lifelong dream come true. Charles Murray and Steven LaBroi were childhood friends who kept in touch throughout their adult years. Steven answered the call when Charles asked him to invest in his dream and became the Executive Producer.
This Director and Executive Producer duo moved full steam ahead to knock down the barriers and led a grass roots effort to promote the film with tremendous success.
Things Never Said won seven awards at various film festivals. Ultimately, this dynamic duo sold the U.S. rights to Lionsgate’s Codeblack Film, a company passionate about providing an avenue for positive Black films to reach wide audiences.

Dr. Shane shares his views about infidelity, what it is, why it occurs, and most importantly what happens after an affair is revealed. He talks about the three stages the hurt partner will experience after an affair is revealed.
1. Atone – Involves the reactions (emotional, physical, neurological) that will occur after learning about the affair.
2. Atune – The hurt partner reviews his or her options to stay or leave the relationship.
3. Attach – The couple reconnects to start the process of rebuilding their relationship.
Dr. Shane states that the hurt partner is the only one who should make the decision to stay or leave the relationship and the worse thing the unfaithful partner can do is try to rush the decision-making and ask them to “get over it.”

After having a persistent cough for two weeks Erica finally decided to see her physician. After receiving two Computerized Tomography (CAT or CT) Scans Erica’s doctor informed her that she had enlarged lymph nodes on her lungs.
As her health began to deteriorate and during a hospital stay, doctors performed another CT scan, which revealed the enlarged lymph nodes had spread from her lungs to her stomach and arm pits, strongly suggesting lymphoma. After a battery of tests, Erica was finally diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 27.
What followed was a grueling ordeal that included low blood counts, shingles, resistant staph infection (MRSA), blood clots, anxiety, happy days and sad days. Within 6 months of her diagnosis, tests revealed that her lymphoma had gone into remission!
Despite the cancer going into remission, Erica still had to endure chemotherapy for another 6 months, which created nausea and painful tingling throughout her body. It seemed as if the sickness lasted until the following chemo treatment. There was a point when Erica felt like giving up, but her doctor insisted that she remain strong through the last therapy session to increase the odds that the cancer will not return.
The road to recovery was tremendously hard for Erica. However, after six months of chemotherapy, transplants, transfusions and lots and lots of prayer, as Erica puts it, “I BEAT CANCERS BUTT… by God’s grace!”
Erica founded “D’zire2Survive” to improve the quality of life of patients and their families touched by the lymphoma disease by providing education and up to date information. Erica wants to pay it forward by inspiring patients with peer to peer comfort to help them continue to fight and overcome their battle with blood cancers.

Is someone out there still waiting to receive an apology from you?
There’s so much power in the words “I apologize.” They can heal a broken heart, dry tears from crying eyes, change a frown into a smile, turn sadness into joy, and give a restless soul some peace.
So if an apology can do so much good, why is it so difficult for us to apologize?
Where did this thinking come from? Well, in the movie “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon – 1949,” John Wayne said “…Never apologize–it’s a sign of weakness.”
Well, let me tell you, it is just the opposite. Having the capacity to say I am sorry, is a sign of strength. It really takes a lot of courage to say I am sorry and refusing to apologize is the true sign of weakness.
Someone out there is waiting for you to deliver the words “I Am Sorry.” And if there’s one change you can make starting today, show how strong you really are, look for opportunities to apologize when you know that you did something wrong or whatever part you played in the situation.
Reach out to someone you’ve hurt and apologize.
