Donald and Ronald Baker talks about pursuing passionate work and making a living doing what they love.

A recent study conducted by Trade Schools, Colleges and Universities report that close to 80% of adults do not end up following through on the career paths they dreamed of during childhood.  And the remaining 20% of people who do pursue childhood imaginations are overwhelmingly happy and consider themselves to be successful.

Donald and Ronald Baker fall into that 20% category.  Ronald and Donald Baker are twins who were adopted at birth and both are world renowned photojournalists in the Washington, D.C. area.  They have photographed such greats as Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, exclusive photographers of the Jackson 5, President Barack Obama, Stevie Wonder, Alex Haley and too many to name.  They have also captured historical events such as the Million Man March and several Presidential Inaugurations just to name a few.

The Baker twins talk about how they got their start and the creative ideas they utilized to become living legends in the world of photojournalism.

100 A Conversation with Coach Tony Dungy & Broadcaster James Brown

Coach Tony Dungy is in the 2016 Class of Pro Football Hall of Famers.  He gets inducted into the Hall on August 6th.  He led the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl victory in 2007 and became the first African-American coach to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. He accomplished another first by leading his team to the playoffs for 10 consecutive years.  He is one of only 3 men to win Super Bowls as both a player and head coach. He is a #1 New York Times best-selling author of Quiet Strength, Uncommon, and The Mentor Leader.  He now serves as an Analyst on NBC’s Football Night in America and he is a spokesperson for “All Pro Dad.” He and his lovely wife Lauren are co-authors of several children’s books and the proud parents of ten children.  And most importantly, Coach Dungy is one of God’s faithful servants, he leads and participates in several bible study groups, he is a well sought after speaker and he is currently living his passion of ministering to young men.

 

James Brown3James Brown, also known as “J.B.”, is the host for THE NFL Today, the NFL Pre-Game Show, and co-hosts CBS Thursday Night Football.  He is a Special Correspondent for CBS This Morning, CBS Evening News, and 60 Minutes.   JB has hosted many shows, including the Super Bowl, Boxing, Basketball, the Olympics, and the Stanley Cup where he earned the name “Godfather of Gold.”  He is a three-time Emmy winner for “Outstanding Studio Host.  A graduate of Harvard University, principal of Brown Technology Group, and author of “Role of a Lifetime:  Reflections on Faith, Family and Significant Living.  He is married to his lovely wife Dorothy and he’s a grandfather and the proud father of one daughter, Katrina.  Like Coach Dungy, JB is also one of God’s faithful servants.  He is an ordained minister and gives of his time to youth and multiple charities.

He’s written 6 best-selling books to include: Success Runs in Our Race, Click and most recently, Mission Unstoppable: Extraordinary Stories of Failure’s Blessings, a book he co-authored with Les Brown. He is the producer of the award winning “PowerNetworking Conference” (Forbes Magazine named it “One of the Top 5 Conferences Not To Be Missed in America.”)

045 Overcoming the Mental Hurdles to Fitness

045 Brian BaileyBrian K. Bailey of Fit Tyme Productions shares his 5 Success Principles for overcoming the mental barriers to getting and staying fit and healthy.

Brian also believes in the power of affirmations and he shares 5 Daily Affirmations that you can use each day to keep you motivated, especially during those days when the going gets tough.  These affirmations are really awesome and they help to offset the negative messages we receive from our subconscious when we try to initiate change.

Although Brian does not endorse the “quick fix” approaches to losing weight, he is sensitive to the fact that most people want to get in shape for a short term event like a wedding, class reunion, or for the spring and summer months.  As a result, he likes to encourage people to take his “10 Day Challenge,” which has been proven to take the pounds off quickly, but in a healthier fashion that could ultimately lead to a lifestyle change. However, he cautions that once you take the challenge, you will love the results so much, that you may never go back to those old habits.

When it comes to the most important change we can make to help us on our journey to good health, Brian says that drinking lots of water is the key and you should focus on drinking at least an amount equal to 50% of your body weight.

Most of the challenges we face with change of any sort is mental.  This show will help you to focus on identifying what your mental hurdles are and  how you can begin the journey to overcome them.
